
Parents are the primary educators of their children and thus an intregral part of the faith community of St. Joseph School. There are numerous opportunities for parental involvment:
- PTO: St. Joseph’s PTO is committed to assisting the school through continuous improvement, support and involvement. It is a very active and supportive organization which eagerly welcomes all families. PTO meets the third Thursday of each month.
- School Advisory Council: The School Advisory Council assists the School with school operations. Members are elected by the parish. School Advisory Council meetings take place on the first Thursday of each month.
- Room Parents/Classroom Volunteers: Parents can participate in a number of activities such as class parties, field trips, reading to students, etc.
- Playground Volunteers: Two parents are needed daily to assist with supervision during lunch recess.
- Extracurricular: Parental involvement in various aspects of scouting and coaching sports are also essential to a well rounded school environment.
